Default UL Ticket Office Dropping the Ball Again

I'm expecting an increase in attendance tonight and won't be able to get to the game very early, so I just sent my girlfriend to the ticket office in the union to buy a few student escort tickets for the game. I've done this multiple times before through the years for both basketball and football. Today they informed her that she couldn't buy tickets from the student union office, and that we'd have to get them at the dome tonight. I'm sure she wasn't the only they had to tell that to today. Nice job guys.

She can buy them at the Cajundome ticket office anytime before the game, can't she?

Don't lay all the blame on the Student Union. You had all week to get tickets. That's the problem with America these days and it is only getting worse. No one wants to take responsibility for their actions, always looking to lay the blame elsewhere. Nut up and take care of your business.

Now the peanut gallery chooses to chime in. I work in Pineville idiot. Would you have wanted me to take a 3.5 hour lunch break so I could make it to the Cajundome or the Tigue to get my tickets? The union is the easiest way for me to get tickets because I give my GF money to get them while she is on campus.
I said in my post, which you obviously didn't read well, that I've done this multiple times before. Just seems a little stupid for such a "big" game that the union isn't making tickets more easily available to get.

Not being able to get tickets on campus (for friends) probably kills a lot of "I'm going to the game tonight" conversations.

Before you go calling people idiots, look in the mirror. You could have taken 5 minutes to call the Cajundome Box Office, pay for your tickets and have them waiting for you at will call. Guess that would be too much trouble for you, so you blame others for your issues. Like I said, Nut up and take care of your own business.

Looked in the mirror this morning and liked what I saw.
As far as taking care of my business, I'm bringing 3 people tonight that don't normally come to games and invited a few hundred more via Facebook. What the hell did you do? From what I see, browse RP and take a post about the Union having limited ticket availability on a "big" game day as some indicator of the status of our country. The idiot statement was valid.

During my previous experiences, I must have not been buying on game days and Fridays then. Thanks for the clarification. I wonder if there is a logical explanation for it. I'm sure there is. I'll try and find out.

If you would have put as much time and effort into getting tickets as you did _____ing and whining on RP about the Union not having tickets, then you could have gotten tickets by now! Quit being a whiny ___ and get tickets. Quit expecting everyone to wait on you and make it easy for you. Grow a pair and quit acting like a helpless teenage girl.

You keep saying the same thing over and over. Why reply to my post if you aren't even going to answer the question I asked you? The idiot statement was valid.

Perhaps it goes back to the first round of budget cuts when the campus started closing at noon on Friday.

What are escort tickets and how do you get them?

Students (who get in free) can buy discounted escort tickets for their friends and family.

I seriously don't understand the hate for CajunFan here. It's perfectly reasonable to assume you can buy tickets at the Union. There is nothing posted anywhere that says otherwise. He definately didn't do anything wrong here.

Thanks Rebel. This was the experience I've had with the Union multiple times. I've always been able to buy tickets from them for UL and other events as well. There was no real explanation given yesterday when my GF went to buy escort tickets. Just that we had to buy them at the game. I thought this was a brand new thing they started doing because I have been able to get them on campus as recently as last semester. What I didn't take into account was that in my previous experiences I may have not gone on game day or a Friday before a game. But I still think it's not a bad idea to have these tickets available at all times, or at least make the policy known that escort tickets aren't available at certain times.
All this crap that rgncjn12 was posting about "nutting up, and taking care of my business" and the current state of the country is just pointless babbling from someone who most likely rarely gets on this site. I was trying to go about a method of getting tickets that was most convenient for myself and everyone else who was coming to the game with me, and unbeknownst to me this method was not available on that day. Since I'm not lacking in mental capacity like the troll on this thread I enacted a simple solution; I left work a little earlier. Instead of offering an explanation as to why I couldn't get the tickets like Hudsheen#winnin and ynkfan42 did, this guy decides to be a jack_ss with no useful information to offer. It's all good though. We made the game just in time for tip and had a great time (with exception of the loss) with friends, family, and Mr. Turb himself. That's more than I can probably say for ole rgncjn12.
