At the beginning of the fourth quarter I looked through my binoculars and saw the pants of just about every North Texas player was soaked with sweat. I looked at our players and they looked fresh as a daisy. At that point I stood up and told everybody around me that we have won this game. After they went three and out in their first possession of the fourth quarter I stood up and told everybody around me that they will not make another first down in this game (the only ones they did make were on the last drive).

I could tell they threw in the towel on their second to last possession when they took an almost all of the time clock to run their plays. (I think that was their possession that started with 8:55 left in the game anf they kicked with just a little over 7:00 minuted left).

Our guys are in shape and if we are winning or just slightly behind going into the fourth quarter we will win the game.

Who could blame them. The visitor section must have been like being in an oven. I was on our side and I'm more red than a twice boiled crawfish.

It was definitely hot in the student section, but the W made it worth it. I'm enjoying this ride.

  11. Default UL gets 6th win with homecoming victory

The crowd of 32,823 the largest to witness a Sun Belt Conference contest saw UL notch its first 6-1 start since 1970, which is the last season the Cajuns participated in a bowl game (1970 Grantland Rice Bowl). Louisiana used its defense ...

  12. Default UL defeats North Texas, 30-10

The win continues the Ragin' Cajuns' best start since 1970, and it is the best start for a Sun Belt team since the conference was formed in 2001. Lance Dunbar scored the only touchdown for North Texas (2-5, 1-2) but was held to 53 yards after ...

It was awfully hot in the student section. We need to bring some misters out there or something for 4 PM games.

We were 8-0 in 1976. I've been out of school for 31 years, but even I know 6-1 is not better than 8-0. Yeah, yeah I know we forfeited 2 games in '76 on a BS ruling, but we were 8-0 on the field of play.

It wasn't an NCAA violation, UL still started 8-0

A conference violation "for non conference games" in a conference you left, holds no water.
