Ooph, that's just bad.
I think a smaller tr-fleur would have looked a little better.
I know it is not a fan favorite right now, but besides puting an interlocking UL on the helmets, you won't find a better helmet logo for The University of Louisiana than this.
You just gave Fungus a rush...

Much, much too much re-education required to explain the connection with the University and I'm not even talking about the "1" win season.
Granted, once you sit them down, give the 101 on Louisiana's history and the 102 on UL's location in Louisiana . . . . They will never forget the connection.
I just think (a big portion) the purpose of a logo should be it's ability to explain you, not the other way around and you having to explain every aspect of a logo.

University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns the #1 Sports Choice in Acadiana.
This is why I love it as our official Emblem if you will.
I am always looking for connections to the Cajun People and this university to things larger than ourselves. The identity of "University of Louisiana"has always been a grand vision shared by many throughout the history of our alma mater. The Tri-Fleur is so unique in its ability to link the Cajun People and this university to the state of Louisiana and a history beyond that, that goes back nearly a thousand years!
I find that EXTREMELY cool, and I can't think of a better emblem to fight under than the Tri-Fleur.
Just think Turbine. We could have this page, http://ultoday.com/node/195, in the Gameday Program right after Doc's welcome page and right before the page explaining our mascot, the Catahoula, the official state dog of Louisiana and its long and storied history that goes back hundreds of years in the swamps of Louisiana.

There is a sneak peak of the uniforms on Ragin Station practice report. Looks like black pants. They did not show a helmet.
Black pants? Traditional? Wtf?
The only thing worse than going to black pants would be to have a black helmet. Just a reminder...our colors are red and WHITE.
PS...Turb, you were posting at 2:51. You should not be held responsible for any posts due to sleep deprivation.
I think that those of us who value traditional, clean looking uniforms will be HUGELY disappointed tommorrow.
Also, those of us who love our schools colors will be HUGELY disappointed tommorrow.
If that pic is to be believed, Coach Hud and I have very different definitions of traditional and clean with respect to uniforms.
If only we had hired Sewak, ran the triple option in Red and White leather helmets against Texas State and UTSA then you would have been happy.
Guess it's a good thing Hud is the HC. Why don't we just wait and see what an unblurred uniform looks like before we start getting all upset. If this helps Hud to keep bringing in players, then I'm all for it. The only tradition that really matters is winning, so maybe that's something we can actually focus on.
