League will debut ESPNU, XOS broadcasts
February 24th, 2005

NEW ORLEANS - No matter what happens on the floor at next week's 2005 Aeropostale Sun Belt Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament, history will be made. The Sun Belt will broadcast a record 18 games via web streaming or on television.

The league announced today that six of the 18 games will be broadcast over the world wide web on XOS Technologies and five will air on ESPN's new college-only network, ESPNU. Six more will get coverage on ESPN Regional Television (under the moniker ESPN+Plus), with the men's championship game broadcast live nationally on ESPN2.

The opening round men's and women's games on March 4 will kick off the league's web-casting coverage on XOS. Games can be purchased on a game-by-game basis for $4.95 each or $9.95 for the full tournament pass allowing a fan to see all six games. Clients for XOS range from the NBA, NFL, NCAA, CFL, WNBA and NHL. For more information, go to www.sunbeltsports.tv to take part in this opportunity.

On Saturday, the men's quarterfinals will air on ESPNU, while the women's quarters will remain on XOS. The new network will launch nationally as a prelude to the beginning of Championship Week. This is the second time the league will be in on the ground floor for a new ESPNnetwork. The Sun Belt and ESPN has one of the longest relationships in college athletics.

The second day of women's quarterfinals will return to its regular season home on ESPN Regional, while the men's quarterfinals are back on ESPNU. On Semifinal Monday, all four contests will be broadcast on ESPN Regional.

The women's final, set for Tuesday at 3pm CT, will find a home on ESPNU with the men's final on ESPN2.
