All that means is 1000 people bought tickets...if they want to say they had 1000 peeps there, then so be it...but atleast we can say we actually bring 4-5,000 fans. So who cares as long as we win...

This basketball team is on fire. Any non-believers......are you believing this? Winning on the road in college basketball is pretty tough.

Things look good down the stretch. After FAU, we've got stAte and Denver at home and we're only a game and a half back. The fact that we are in position to fight for number 1 in the west after 1 and 5 start really speaks volumes about this team.

    As if.

Remember this post the next time you're surfing the ULM board and/or, are thinking about linking one of their threads on RaginPagin.

Great game. Those layups at the end for FIU had strings attached they were just throwing them up per Andrews mom who made the trip. Andrews birthday is tomorrow and he told team he wanted two "W's" for he gift. One down Mone one to go!!!

Andrews was g-r-e-a-t tonight. 8 points all in the second half. 6-6 from the free throw line. (Cajuns were 10-10 in the last 85 seconds.) Tied his career high with six assists. Added four rebounds and three steals and NO TURNOVERS in 32 minutes.

Travis and LaRyan had another solid effort. Josh Brown was quietly very good tonight..double figures in points and led with 8 rebounds, four on the offensive end.

But this was 'Mone's night. Make no mistake about it.

FAU got thoroughly embarassed tonight at Denver.

Also, Middle beats WKU, Troy wins on the road at USA, ASU hammers ULM in Monroe.

UALR and UNT postponed until 3/1 because of weather.

Good night for the visiting teams. Only Denver got a home win tonight.

Final score was 72 to 68 in the Cajuns favor. Cajuns led most of the way but it was close throughout. FIU converted an old fashioned three point play with 11 seconds left to tie the game. Daigle was fouled with six seconds to go and made both free throws. I don't know if he was fouled on a shot or on the dribble. I also don't know if the call was questionable or obvious. I am sure Jay can fill us in. Regardless he knocked two down. After an FIU turnover, LaRyan Gary made two more free throws for the final margin. I agree that our three remaining seniors are contributing now and we may miss them more than we thought we would a few weeks ago. That is a good thing as they are enjoying some success as they near the end of their careers here. I don't think we won two road conference games in either of the last two seasons. Therefore, we have improved on at least one stat from a year ago.

Enjoyed your call of the game, Jay. Must have been a helluva game to watch court side.

    Are you starting a beef?

There was a time this board needed the comic relief.

I watched the game and that is exactly what they did; it was like they were hoping for a foul or something, and the ball went in.

    No beef. Just an observation.

Noted in another thread that you may be more focused than you once were...

    Yep.

Now, I'll not say that it's not still fun to point and laugh at the sideshow, but we've got some bidness to get to which is far important.

Taking joy in our success is far better than enjoying others misery.
