JJ Thomas is that type of player. Can score inside and out, can score with the ball in his hands outside or post up inside, plays solid defense, gets rebounds and is only a Freshman.....

You wanna talk freak..He will be player of the year in the SBC before it is all said and done, mark my words. He may not be as flashy as Orien, but he will be more consistent.

JJ will be a phenomenal college player. He does not even know what he is doing yet. Once he gets stronger and learns how to play, guys will have to foul him all the time.

J.J. is already strong enough. Needs to improve his ball-handling and perimeter game. In time, he will do so working with this coaching staff.

He is no doubt strong. But i'm talking he could be unguardable strong.

He is an unbelievable mismatch. Especially if he keeps making outside shots.

And what if we ever get an aircraft carrier???? Is he a 3 or 4??? The defensive 3 can't handle him inside and the defensive 4 can't handle him outside if he shoots or drives to the basket!!!

Default Orien Greene to Sign with Nets

Griping here doesn't make UL better. It hurts us.
It hurts team morale, game attendance, supporter donations, student and athlete recruitment.

When you whine on the boards, stop and think about what you're doing: are you really supporting UL?

When I think of a freak on the court, Dwayne Mitchel is the first name that comes to my mind...JJ reminds me of Carlos Boozer; he knows how to use his body, step in on his shot, get the defender in the air, and is a demon on the boards. As far as Orien goes...if only he could have been more aggresive when he was at UL and had better instruction and motivation from the coaches; he has such natural talent...the game was to easy for Orien early on in his career...just my opinion for what it's worth.

Watch them flinch as you nail that three...

He is like a small version of Boozer in a Darren Williams body. Just think about the kind of player he is gonna be once he's polishes his game!......oh yeah, way to go Orien!!!
