Cajuns Play 1st Home Game Saturday
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns football team opens the home portion of its 2010 schedule on Saturday, Sept. 11 hosting Arkansas State at Cajun Field in the 10th Annual Herbert Heymann Football Classic.
The contest kicks off the 40th anniversary season at Cajun Field and serves as the Sun Belt Conference opener for both squads.
The start time has been moved up from its original 6 p.m. kickoff to 2:30 p.m. to accommodate the Sun Belt Network broadcast.
This is the earliest start in Sun Belt play for Louisiana. Prior to this season, the schedule had contained only four September conference games in nine seasons, with the earliest a Sept. 22, 2007 meeting with Troy.
