Some players sign with their old team just to retire, personally I hope he keeps playing.

If you follow all NFL teams, you know this is not a retirement. Ravens need another receiver and even more some experience with a lot of young receivers. We messed up letting Bodin go.

Yeh normally retirements come with a day contract or something. Ravens went a year on him

  4. Default Baltimore brings WR Brandon Stokley back

The Baltimore Ravens have bolstered their receiving corps, agreeing in principle to a contract with tight end Dallas Clark and signing wideout Brandon Stokley to a one-year contract.

    Default Stokley a Captain Tonight

Saw that during the pregame for the Broncos/Ravens. It's nice to see some big respect from his peers to be voted on as a captain for opening night.

Picture doesn't show it all. They actually sort of hugged and talked for a little before breaking away.

    Default Stokley released

Blurb in TDA says Brandon Stokley was released by the Ravens. Speculation is his career is over.

In NO WAY meant to be a knock---but I hope so---If he has had some head injuries I think it is good timing---What a GREAT one and to be called the best slot receiver in the NFL by arguably one of the best QBs ever (P Manning) is quite a compliment!!!

Guy is 37 years old, 14 years in the league... 2 superbowls. If his career is over, absolutely no shame in that

He will be re-signed by Ravens this coming week. Ravens made moves all week to get right players in for game, but due to injuries, etc. he will be back with the Ravens, or at least that is what is going around here in Maryland.

Nothing at all to be ashame of. If he can no longer contribute meaningfully to his team, then I would like to see him just enjoy his life.
