2010 MLB Mock Draft Round 1

These are a few notable players projected to go in the first round of the MLB draft in a few weeks by Baseball America from Cajun opponents.

1 : Nationals - Bryce Harper (Can they afford him and Strasburg?)
3 : Orioles - Jameson Taillon (Commited to Rice)
4 : Royals - Manny Machado (Commited to FIU)
15 : Rangers - Bryce Brentz (Middle Tennessee)
20 : Red Sox - Anthony Ranaudo (LSU)

Also, being mentioned at the 32nd pick is Garin Cecchini (Commited to LSU) out of Barbe HS. He's being mentioned here because the Yankees can afford to pay him while he recovers from knee surgery.

I think the Natinals have no choice but to afford them both. Those 2 players, along with Ryan Zimmerman could mean a pretty good ballclub.

People also sometimes forget that the Nationals also drafted Drew Storen out of Stanford with the 10th overall pick last year. However, if these guys pan out, they won't have the first overall pick every year anymore.
