What do you think of this helmet, with Ragin' Cajuns on the arm sleeves.

It's cool...I'd like to see the players get little pepper stickers to put on the helmets whenever they accomplish a goal.
Turbine, do you have any pictures of the construction at the athletic complex??
RedBug58
Now that is a cool cool cool helmet, but is it legal? RedBug58 before I say anything but peppers, you have a good idea. Do you know how are those things awarded? Do you get one for every td or tackle or accumulaion of yards? Hey RedBug58 anything but peppers.

If ULM can put Louisiana on their helmet, why can't we put either UL or just L on the sides and be done with it.
No, No, No, absolutely not! (as the survey suggested last year)
Very interesting! I'd like to tweak it a little though. What about the following possibilities: a) make the interior of the "U" black (leaving a white outline), b) the opposite (black outline with white interior, c) make the state solid black, d) raising the state higher in relation to the "U", or e) lowering the state in relation to the "U". What do you think? Just my thoughts about it. I like the basic concept.
Why not, I think it is great, and when was this survey?Originally posted by Crawfish

You have stirred the pot again, Turbine.
Frankly I like what we presently have. I would not object to having Louisiana on the sleeves.

the power of great advertising prevents me from using your name.
Sorry Crawfish. I thought you only objected to the the fan-out stripes version, which I removed specifically with you in mindOriginally posted by Crawfish

That sure is a professional looking logo. Classy comes to mind, but you would get more support if you could somehow include Ragin' Cajuns.
I agreed cajuncharlie but add UL & make RAGIN CAJUNS lettering a bit smaller.
I dont like the "u" on there it looks like Miami.
But I like having the state on the helmet.
"state on the helmet"
That looks Techish.
But, youre right about the U. SOOOOO Miami
How many times do I have to say this? A big UL or just an L. That's it.
When it comes to uniforms, I'm very minimalist. I think the simpler look is the classier look.
It's all those things, Miamish, Teckish, at the same time its like I said it's very professional looking and classy. Yeah it stirs the pot, that is what I like about it, but most of all it looks so University of Louisiana.
this is great please push to get it done, love it, love it.
I thought it was a no brainer, this is by far the best looking helmet in the hisory of the school. My question which still goes unanswered, IS IT LEGAL?
I think it would be better to keep the helmet we have and put LOUISIANA across the top of the jersey over the numbers. And if any lsu@$$holes say anything about it, we simply tell them WHERE TO STICK IT!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY, it's legal. If you read the wording of their "so-called" law, it says absolutely NOTHING about what we can call our athletic teams, what they can have on their uniforms, etc. The "so-called" law only talks about what the University can call itself in official correspondance between the University and other institutions. PERIOD. END OF SENTENCE!!!!Originally posted by Chuck

In fact, this "so-called" law is worded very similarly to laws governing universities in other states, or so I'm told. So, there's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why our athletic teams cannot be called LOUISIANA!!!!!!![]()

Perfect. Seriously. It's perfect. It's simple. It has staying power. It doesn't have a white stripe down the middle (which I have always hated). The logo is a picture, not words that can be attacked by local lawyers.
