They'd have to move the press box to the men's bathroom.

Okay we're nearing virtual resurrection. We've got their voices and syntax. With AI there's no reason we can't have all the great tobacco generated voices back. An AI host telling Bandwagon Fan he's a moronic feature to any show and is banned for ten working days.

That woman color commentator that does the women's basketball games. Ok, that's a joke.

Ian and Topham may call a great game, but what Jay Walker brings to baseball, football and basketball, as well as softball when he does make a call, is the history of the sport. He always brings up players, teams and games from the past and relates them to today.

Some may have problems with him, but he will be very hard to replace. Can't imagine an outsider bringing this concept to the game.

We had lunch at Olde Tyme Grocery. But what does that have to do with this post?

Question.... so who was the best voice in your opinion for the Ragin Cajuns? For me, it was Don Allen, followed by Ron Gomez.

Don Allen has the best voice since Td Smith. Legendary calls as I grew up.

For me "Voice of" has a much deeper meaning than "Best Voice"

Ron Gomez had the best voice, by far. Great at basketball

Don Allen had the most commanding presence, by far. Great at basketball solo but not excellent at acknowledging his cohosts commentary.

But neither of those guys can hold a candle to Jay Walker in terms of diversity of delivery. Jay's ability to switch sports is among the best anywhere. His voice? He's a better announcer than he was a DJ.

Don Allen's MBB call is best ever...better than the legendary UNC Woody Durham

as hard as people are on steve, "i dont think anyone is back there" if not for bias would have ranked nationally as one of the best home run signature calls of all time, and he was way ahead of his time, he came up with that way before certain skools even had softball coverage, ....and unfortunately we added seats, so now people are actually back there
