They are only dressing out eight players. And, as someone pointed out, except for the JC guard, they are all frosh and sophs.

Jasmine Thomas is their best player. She is probably out for the year.
Kimberly Burton is having to redshirt this year as well.
Of the eight players who dress, I believe five are newcomers.

I wouldn't expect much this season from this squad.

What are we now, year 6? It's about time to hold Gary accountable for who is and isn't on the floor. Having 8 bodies isn't an acceptable number regardless of injuries.

I like Coach Brodhead, he's a really good guy. But he has a problem keeping his classes eligible. That is why UL is young this season, you can't keep replacing classes every two years and be consistently successful in any conference.

Brittney Myles and Danyale Bayonne are would be juniors this season. Both gone from what arguably was considered his best class in recent years. Also gone is Breionne Cooper and Malachi- Seraphin Williams, one would be a junior and the other a senior.

The fact that UL WBB is young this season again is directly on Coach Brodhead and his staff. They need to do a better job of finding athletes that fit their system and can remain eligible.

If players become ineligible to the degree indicated that could spell APR issues. Not good.

Are all these directly grade related?

I was actually encouraged from what I saw last night simply due to the fact a young squad played even with a veteran club that is one of the better ones in the SLC. Had they made a few more free throws, they win in regulation. They can shoot the ball better than in the past so I don't think a winning season is out of the question.

The Coaches did not miss any of the 17 free throws the players missed.

Who is he and who is he not? I am curious of your Opinion.

I'm certain of one that is not, but even then this has been ongoing in his program. The attrition rate is high, some are personal and some are because of academics. The reason he is young right now is because of attrition in his classes, including one that was considered his best class as HC at UL. In any case, it needs to be corrected or he will not win consistently in this conference or any other one for that matter.

I saw the team walking around the tailgating areas during a recent home football game and noticed one of the girls (I'm assuming is a player) looked like she was may have spent a little too much time in the bedroom and not enough time in the gym! I guess that means she will be "red shirting" this year!

Until Brodhead learns that you cannot win consistantly against even good SBC teams without long, athletic guards, what we have seen is as good as it gets.

There is a group of fans that faithfully follow the ladies. After the Dillard loss, the excuses were "it's still a building process" to "he's been thru a lot". It's like soccer, mired in quicksand, then addressed every decade. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Garry has been taking lessons from Bob. Schedule a few really good road opponents to make people think you care about improving the program, then load up with games against Judice Middle school to pad the record.

I don't know if I'd call road games against Auburn & Ole Miss and home games against LSU and two time runner-up national champion Mississippi State quite the same thing.
