A google chrome extension that fixes websites that correctly refer to us as Louisiana.
Eh, goes to show you that there's REALLY nothing else to do up in Rustonia.

Yes! It brings a smile to me almost daily. And we have Dr. Savoie to thank for that, IMHO.

The following LSU coaches took a dead end job there:

    Jerry Stovall
    Curley Hallman
    Gerry DiNardo
    Hal Hunter
    Les Miles?
Ed Orgeron - will be after this season

Not so much a place for people to go to higher places afterwards.....

God rest his soul, but don't forget Bo Ryan. Poor thing.

I'll give him a pass because he never coached a game.

    Wow. That was nuts.

It had to have been cabin depressurization/hypoxia and they fell to the floor because the only other options are that they pulled a DB Cooper or alien abduction.

You could make a similar list for every SEC school. SEC head coaches either move on the NFL or eventually get fired. Successful G5 programs are stepping stones to P5 jobs.

"Similar list(s)" everywhere makes your original list, irrelevant.

    Wrong
Most sec jobs are destination jobs. Nobody takes a SBC job with the intentions of retiring there.
If you're fired from a Sunbelt job, your HC career is likely over.

Some SEC jobs may be destination jobs: a destination for failure or success. I'm not saying LSU isn't a better job at the moment or maybe ever compared to UL. But it went thru periods of time where it wasn't considered a great job other than those obsessed with the SEC.

I'm sure there are numerous Sunbelt coaches fired and their HC career was over. In the SEC Les Miles and Phillip Fulmer immediately come to mind.

Sun belt is only 17 years old...more coaches have moved on than careers ended.

    Wrong.

Destination jobs do not imply fade to black satisfaction.

Movie stars do not quit after winning an Oscar and to a much lesser extent former SEC coaches are not content with a failed resume reference.

The common denominator across all the lists and similar lists is this; "Failed is failed" and failed seldom gets a second act.
