I hope it is not a violation ... remember back when players receiving t-shirts for obtaining workout goals was a problem.

I'm positive this was cleared by compliance

It will hopefully create a team that is more business minded.

This basically adds up to another "uniform". The t-shirts were considered "awards".

About 65 P5 schools do this as a matter of fact, and is the norm.

Come on it's a quarter mile after a nice air conditioned ride from the air condition hotel. These suits will add an air of professionalism when the team arrives in their various stops, especially out of town. Remember we're now going to be on TV everywhere we go. The new ESPN+ will be looking for all sorts of content, and maybe this might be one we don't want to be looking like the Beverly Hillbillies.

Hey I am not criticizing. I'm all for it. But as someone who has to wear a suit professionally on sometimes even short walks to the courthouse between June and October, I am drenched.

The young men will look great though. I think it is awesome. Just making an observation (mostly trying to be funny) that they, especially our big dudes, will be hot!

As opposed to putting on full pads and sprinting and slamming into each other for 3.5 hours

When did the football team stop wearing suits for the Cajun walk?

The suits set the tone. Some coaches talk about "culture" (remember holding the rope? Protect the house?) and others set the tone and create the #cULture, and let the #cULture do the talking.
