I hope there flights aren't at 6:00 AM. TSA already cant handle the load.

This is why it's important to build the new terminal sooner than later. Now that we are adding flights with bigger aircrafts, the larger terminal should accommodate a larger space for TSA checkpoints.

New terminal will definitely have more TSA capacity.

Why didn't the direct flights to Denver a couple of years ago stick? I think it was Allegiant.

United had direct flights to Denver. The oil slump put an end to that. Allegient flew to Vegas they stopped because not enough demand. Curious to see how this works out. Two flights a day two days a week. I dunno.

Great for Lafayette. Frontier is a solid airline. I've flown them many times. Now if we can just get them to fly to Northwest Florida Regional...

    That's right, Vegas.
Well, my flight from here to Houston to Denver is right at 400 so any break would be great!
A route into Hobby would be nice to catch Southwest.

United abandoned the Lafayette to Denver flight because is was more cost efficient to increase flights from Lafayette through Houston. I lived in Denver when they were still running the direct flights (which were awesome) and they were always as full as the Houston to Lafayette flights.

I just hope this sticks. Allegiant came and went like a flash. Only a few months of operation. This deal looks to be temporary and may only stay if Frontier makes enough $ off of it.

My crew will be there in Nov as well.. just bought round trip for 5, under $300. And it's the airport closer to Disney, not the BR route.

Tried to buy tickets to Denver in January, but they're only available until November at this point. $96 round trip! Gonna be going up there often.

I think the Denver route was canceled once all the shale work in North Dakota shut down. Glad to see that route return.

If I recall, Allegiant was doing well here until the runway 22L/4R lengthening project began. The original runway length was 7,650', but was shortened to 6,500' to accommodate construction. That was too short for the MD-80 to take off with the required fuel load to LAS and fill all seats. The resulting lesser PAX capacity left the route unprofitable. Once the project was finished, I don't think Allegiant was invited back due to several complaints, such as leaving 30 passengers at the gate when duty-time limits were reached. Ugly scene...
