And then, if flopping is your thing, there is always Brazil. Was amazing to see Neymar go from getting cleated on the ankle and flopping around like a beached trout to a beautiful assist late in the game.
Neymar is an embarrassment to professional athletes everywhere.

Not a Brazil fan, and floppers hurt the game. For years they've been the best team between the 6 yard lines and fall apart when down. As they will again this year.

That might've been the most exciting soccer game (or at least half) I've ever seen.

What a game! The best thing about it was the way it was played. It was played with few fouls and nobody flopping around. Guys were running through fouls to try to make plays and it kept the flow of the game really smooth. It was a great game to watch and if the South American teams can take a page out of that book, it would be better.

Easily the best game of this World Cup, probably top 3 non-American game I've ever seen.

I would put it right there with the Portugal-Spain game to start with. That was another highly technical and free flowing game with some of the best players in the world.

3 Lions advance. I'm happy for England. They should get through Sweeden a little easier, then on to the semis. They have some superstars on that squad.

why isnt possession lost if a dead ball foul occurs. ex. team A has a throw in, an argument ensues and team A gets a yellow card, why shouldnt throw in now be switched to team B?

Here's who I'm rooting for from here on out:

    Russia - personal reasons
England - I love the EPL
Belgium - love watching Hazard and Lukaku.

That was so incredibly boring. Awful game, official lost control. Happy for my English fan friends though.

How close was that? Japan got kick off and first touch after the goal and it was over. Wow!

I'm losing more and more interest from these South American teams. They do that to the game with all the flopping and theatrics that don't need to be in the game. They were very chippy and concentrated more on frustrating England than getting out and playing. Wasn't a fun game to watch.

I missed this game. Was the US referee as bad as Columbia is saying? Were the calls mostly going England's way? Sounds like he's hated in the MLS.
