Congratulations to him and his family. Wish him nothing but the best and am very appreciative for him being a Ragin Cajun.

You know, this just makes it even sadder how the season ended...with so many good players leaving the program for one reason or another, and there not being a good send-off for them.

Isn't it a little ironic that UL gave up 37 runs in 3 games during the Sun Belt Tournament, yet 4 or 5 pitchers are likely to be drafted in the MLB draft!

    Like some say, "that's baseball"!

I say, this team was absolutely gassed. Pressing so hard for so long from where they started finally caught up with them.

When a one dimensional team crashes, it ain't pretty.

Hogan Harris on Tuesday became the first Ragin' Cajun to come off the board in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft.

The junior left-handed pitcher was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the third round, 85th overall.

No doubt. Pitchers have a different mind set and can be a lot more aggressive when they have a cushion or know that the bats have a shot at backing them up. Going out all season long knowing that you will more than likely have to keep the runs down creates a whole other set of problems.

    Wasn't all Hogan's fault....

Hogan gets to join Wyatt in the Oakland organization. They were highschool teammates, college teammates and maybe pro ball teammates. Pretty cool.

This sounds to me like the coaches fault.

To my knowledge there has never been 2 UL players on the same major league roster simultaneously unless I am mistaken. It would be great to see Harris and Marks accomplish this with the A's.

I was thinking Paul Bako, Donnie Wall, and Xavier were all in the show at the same time but I don't know if they ever were on the same team. I thought two of them were with the astros.

Chad Beck and Danny Farquhar were Toronto Blue Jays at the same time, 2010 maybe.

Did Beck ever make an appearance on the major league club?

15 rounds in the books and Dexter Jordan has not been drafted. The later he goes the better for us.
