We will finally see this position actually do something again!

    Glad he's staying.

I loved our offense when we had Green and to some extent Maxwell catching tons of passes. I could never understand why the TE position all but disappeared from Hud's offense after relying on it so heavily early on.

Talent drop off. I think Rogers will make an impact this year.

Kevin Foote always says one thing I agree with %100. The TE position is forgotten but is the ultimate game changer. Creates bad match ups a good TE can exploit.

And I believe if I remember correctly, HUD's offensive coordinator is the TE coach where he went.

Except that Kevin Foote constantly has a naked picture of Jimmy Graham with a Fleur de Lis over his junk as the entire basis of that argument in his head. 99.99% of all TE's can be covered well by Linebackers.

Why would you need a TE when you have a running QB and you throw jump balls?
    (sarcasm: just in case)

If Napier runs an offense that includes TEs as pass receivers... and a true "hands" slot guy running underneath routes... things might get good really quick. I know those that have played and coached collegiate football don't like their colleagues being made fun of for being dense... but you're a dense OC if you don't use TEs and route runners in your offense. You can have a guy that can run at QB (when he needs to)... but you cannot have a guy that has no poise in the pocket, no sense of timing, and no ability to read defenses and route progressions.
