Now combine these thoughts. Do you start a lower pitcher if it looks like storms may be rolling through? Hate to pitch someone for three innings only because of rain.

Robe says a pitcher needs 1 hour rest per pitch... so if Schmidt throws 96 pitches on Wednesday he may be able to give us a few innings on Sunday.

Schmidt is going Wednesday, per Robe in his press conference.

Gunner did that back in 2015. 92 pitches in a loss against Texas State and then started championship game against USA.

My thoughts also. If he goes six Wed. with a let's say 75 pitch count with some runs helping him he could be in the mix on Sunday for a couple of innings if we are still in. He would have 85 hour rest. That's 3 1/2 days to game time on Sunday. We have the pitching, let's hope we have the runs to help out.

I ama a huge Georgia State fan tomorrow. I don't want to see Little Rock #1 or #2 pitchers. I know we took two of three from them. But we match up better with all of the other 3 teams then Little Rock.

Things are going well so I expect to see pretty much the same lineup and rotation for first three games this week that we saw the last 3 against ULM.

I'm going the other way on this one. Arkansas State's Alberius pitched a complete game against us in Jonesboro. Assuming A-State throws Welsh today, I'm passing on seeing Alberius again.

Give me Little Rock. Schmitty pitched a four hitter against them.

What would Perrin/Batty have done to slow down LR Wednesday/Thursday? Those guys tagged Schmidt, D-Mo, and Stoelke.

Couldn't have done much worse than 16 runs.

We barely won with our best and you calling it prophetic to have recommended that we should have thrown a hit or miss freshman arm in the game we won.

    Prophetic 🤔

    Back to baseball..

Most people with a brain realize I'm 90% kidding with the 'prophetic' comment.
I know with hindsight it's easy to second guess, but does Perrin/Batty combo give up as many hits and runs as what Schmidt/Stoelke/Dmo did? Find that hard to believe. It was shockingly bad, especially on 0-2 pitches...

Just fun to analyze after the fact. Still think my pitching rotation would have fared well for us in this format.
