    Default PAC 12 Softball

Arizona State is considered to have the best softball facility in the PAC 12. Oregon State stadium is ranked #7 in the conference. I don't think these come close to what we have at Lamson Park.

Oregon's got a brand new stadium that I heard was pretty nice.

But yes, despite the prominence of softball powers, Pac-12 softball stadiums are dumps.

The dumps are one reason that the SEC has become the premier softball conference.

Arizona State & Oregon have VERY nice facilities every bit as good as Lamson. I've inserted some softballchannel.com links to their ratings of PAC12 stadiums but these were in 2013. Oregon has gone through a major renovation since that time and Arizona just approved an $8M upgrade for their softball facility.

Just for reference, this is what the new Oregon Stadium looks like. The field is actually about 15-20 feet below the street level outside.

I'm sure it's nice, but very crowded.

The true shrine is on the right side of the picture.

I've been on the Oregon campus. It is a very nice campus. Their IPF was the first I went into.

If memory serves I think that's the football stadium way in the background close to the river.

lol. I think we should be the last ones pointing out how land-locked someone's facilities are.

That is correct. IPF is next door. Autzen next to the Willamette River.

I don't see an indoor batting cage on any of these campuses!

There are a number of schools that have covered/indoor batting cages. I would guess the one at Oregon is part of the Softball Performance Center down the third base line at the stadium.

From their facilities page. This was prior to the new construction.

indoor practice center with batting cages, pitching lanes and an infield will be constructed down the third base line.

You can see the building down the third base line in the photo I posted earlier in the thread. I converted the map from a PDF to a PNG to show the location to compare with the photo earlier.

Why does RaginCajuns.com not have photos of UL's indoor batting facility or even photos of the exterior of the stadium to truly showcase our softball complex? For that matter, the Facilities section of the website is terrible in properly showcasing all of UL's athletic facilities.
