Will we still be seeing the split grip and the long ball hitters?

Since the split was mostly used by slappers, I think you'll still see it occasionally still, but Coach Glasco has the same philosophy as Mike with respect to teaching hitters for power.

Casey Dixon is likely to be this season's ace. She has 4 pitches and 2 out pitches. She is already at Kylee's level if Kylee has beaten her control problems.

Dixon and Kirsten Pruett were my picks based solely upon their accomplishments in travel ball and Texas HS softball. But I have not seen a single practice or scrimmage.

She has been injured. Kid can slap, bunt and hit for power. Has a cannon as well. Not sure anyone has seen her potential

These are the likely options. The first person listed is the likely initial starter.
You can X out O'neal she isn't released from previous school.

I will say this, hopefully they can coach some of those kids up because there is no headliner right now in that group.
Been to a few scrimmages, not impressed, lots of work to be done all the way around. Hopefully it will all come together

Ellen is working hard but it's shaky. No pun intended but I don't think we will have anyone that can go 7 innings

I may make another list as we get closer to the 8th. At this point, it's getting apparent that Casidy Chaumont will be somewhere in the lineup, whether infield, outfield or DH. They want her bat in the lineup. We'll have 3 years of Raina after Kelli graduates.

Garcia at catcher. She has the strongest arm. Lexi will get it from previous experience and maybe her bat

Now I'm a little concerned we have to win all the games in the opening weekend for confidence purpose because the second weekend may be brutal against Florida. Going in with an open mind praying for the best.

Yes! Try to keep an open mind but....... this is going to be new for the coaches, New for some of the players, New for the few faithful fans that stuck around. The first game will tell the story. Patiently and anxiously waiting

I think Coach Glasco will be on with Steve Peloquin Thursday morning from 7am-8am to discuss the team and season. If so, it should be on soundcloud the next day.

Damn, I thought I understood yesterday that he would be on Thursday.

I looked and he appears to have been on with Foote this morning.

I talked to someone in the know at the basketball game Saturday. From what they are saying is we will be very good. I have not seen a practice but these people are well connected to the program. They are excited about the year.

Raina was not released by Texas Tech, so she is not eligible to play for the Cajuns this season.
