Back when you had to crank the dial on your TV to watch the single digit number of options available. Buckskin Bill was a good dude.

And obviously in the black and white age of television. Couples never in the same bed, gay meant happy, and June Cleaver said, "Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night" and nobody snickered. Good times. You forgot JM1, our parent did have remote controls for television...us kids...lol.

    Penny the elephant...great fundraiser.

A lot of changes in 60 years.

Man, we had an antenna with a rotor. Amazing what we could pick up "on the skip" late at night before midnight. When my dad retired, he got a self assembly color television from Heathkit. He was an electronics geek before it was cool.

We were living large and didn't know it.

same here; 5 kids on a HS Principal's salary......cable was a luxury we went without. Although we were able to get the LC nbc station because our neighbor hooked us up with a great antennae. BTW, thank all that is good that we no longer have to watch nbc on that LC channel, lol.

Also, my dad and this guy had the same birthday/year.

Yeah, sometimes I could see him on a snowy screen but Policarp came in real clear.

We did as well.... however my brother and I were the "backup" when the rotor went out. Dad would open the window and my brother or I would be outside with a pipe wrench twisting on the pole until he yelled at us to stop!
