I'm gonna continue to beat this drum. We need Tony Hull here!!

The reason of Napier not coming till after bowl game is why he makes Hull his urgent hire and we don't miss a beat. In fact we set recruiting at UL on fire just as Hull did at Kansas!

Chris Weinkie is an offensive analyst at Alabama. Make him the OC here at UL

Go get Blaine Gauthier and bring him home! Blaine could recruit the River Parish areas

I like to go through a coaches stops and check out the connections he might have made along the way. 5 years at Bama. I'd wonder if Karl Dunbar would come back home and take his first shot at being a DC.

I can't wait to see who he chooses for a DC.

Karl Dunbar makes 275k at bama as dl coach. They coached together. You think he would want to be D.C.?

Bama would probably counter with a significant pay raise but I'd try to Karl Dunbar as DC. He's 20 years into coaching and has never been higher than a defensive line coach. Maybe he'd like the opportunity. He's from Louisiana, knows Napier and is supposedly a great recruiter.

Des isn't a grad assistant. I'm fine with him being retained as long as Napier thinks he adds the most value at whatever he needs. No loyalty hires, friend hires, nothing but best person for the job.

That's the way it's gotta be across everyone in our athletic office.

We're crazy to commit this much money and energy on athletics, especially just one sport.

We were warned about this in the 80s and 90s. I only see more problems than successes coming out of this tunnel we're now going down.

Football drives the entire sports program, especially when it comes to national perception, and conference affiliation. To do this right, we have to commit to raising the bar on football.

You are right. Authemont warned us about this. Once you let boosters get involved, you lose your iron clad grip over everything and actually have to be accountable

Yes, and we certainly could have gotten a legendary coach from the river parishes for so much less. We could have had NFL coach JT Curtis. Kept everyone mellowed out with 7/5 , 6/6 records. Lots of parking near the stadium.

This is gonna price out lots of loyal Cajun fans.

The hell with progress only brings problems.
