A smile worth more than Hud's buyout.

    Welcome to Louisiana B. Rod

Welcome to Lamson, it is really a good time.

I also got a call today, I upgraded all my benchback seats to chairbacks (on the aisle). I hope we set a new attendance record and have our best season ever.

In Lamson's first year I had benchbacks. Not very comfortable. Then for the regional I got chair backs. No more bench backs for me. I was sold.

So, are the tickets not on sale yet? I just tried to buy them on-line, but it says that they are no longer available. Are they only offering to existing ticket holders?

UL Softball Rodriguez Transfers to Louisiana for 2018 Season

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball head coach Gerry Glasco announced that Brittany Rodriguez, a three-time first team all-conference performer, has transferred to play for the Ragin' Cajuns in the 2018 season.

Rodriguez comes to Louisiana from Lamar where she hit .380-plus and was a first team All-Southland Conference selection each of the past two seasons.

The Cypress, Texas native is an outfielder. She will be entering her senior season in 2018.

"Welcome", Miss Rodriguez, to Louisiana softball. Glad to have you as a Ragin Cajun.

Turbine, why did I have to put Welcome in parentheses to keep it from changing my "Welcome" to "Hi"?

And two of those three did not have any other offers when they came here, one red-shirted. I trust this coach but you don't which is cool or should I say kool-aid.

That is not the issue. Those ineligible out of HS must graduate JC prior to transferring to a D1 school. If you have the grades and ACT score you can transfer at any time.

We lost All-American talent. Did you honestly expect All-American talent to be brought in to replace them?

Unless it is an unusual situation (like ours was), All-Americans typically do not transfer in or out of programs.

you must not be a softball fan. if you were around the sport enough, you would know that there are good players all across the country, even at Gulf Coast State College and the Lamar's of the country. don't discount a player because she came from a small school or a school you never heard of before. a girl from Idaho State led the country in div 1 softball in batting average last year. your argument would be, if she would have played against better competition she wouldn't have been number 1. and you would be right, but she wouldn't be hitting .092 either, i can guarantee that. good hitters know how to hit. so by your standards, UL should never have accepted the transfer a few years back from Illinois State. well, Becky McMurtry turned out to be a 2 time Sunbelt Conference player of the year, ( the first person to do that in consecutive years ), NFCA All American second team, NFCA All South first team player. trust the coaches to do their homework on these players. there is a reason he is going after these players. coach glasco plays a power game, doubles and home runs and speed to manufacture runs. the Lamar transfer you are disappointed with, Rodriguez, is a top of the lineup batter. good batting average, but has excellent speed. the other 2 transfers are good hitters who have power. if you would know coach's game plan, then you can see why he is accepting these transfers in. some transfers pan out and some dont, but don't criticize a decision in december, 2 months before first pitch. if you want to criticize, then you have to wait til june.
