We made that decision based on the fact that we had no timeouts left.....we wanted a shot to win and Patrick had the leg to get it there.....he did hit it great and it fell short closer than he described......a couple of feet short...there was a slight wind in his face.....damn but it was a miserable ride home after that one. I will say this about those kids....they rolled onto the field, no matter the opponent, thinking that they would find a way to win that game....

...Hey BB, never a big fan of the guy...he was at Tulane for Augies first game and they had beaten LSU in their last game the year before.....told the H S coaches that they were gonna hang 100 on us.....the kid from HC hits the fg to beat us after Foley crosses the Los to complete a pass....earlier Harold Porter almost broke a fake quick kick....so close!!!

Big difference is B Mitch was strong as an OX, built like a greek God, and durable. LL is 185. Lots of weight room work ahead.

I'm guessing......were having trouble protecting. With 21 seconds and no TOs you have to pass, can't risk a run. If having trouble protecting now you have to worry about a sack moving further back and probably not getting kick off.

Going for two in that era is a no brainer. Win on the road, tie at home. Especially with a chance to beat n SEC school.

Stokes was concerned about running out of time. With no timeouts we didn't have a lot of time to consider the situation and having a kicker with a big leg it seemed the better part of valor

IF it is true that LL is the best thing we've had since Brian, and IF we go into Oxford and right a past wrong, how can we not get on board this train?
I sure hope you are right.
