Only reason we landed him from big schools like ole miss is bc they wanted him to be anything but qb and we told h he'd have opportunity here. Just gotta bite the bullet of him not working out/not developing as a passer

Yup and hes had his shot at qb for almost 3 years! He either needs to accept the fact that he isnt a qb and switch positions or move on. It sucks because he is probably one of best athletes we had the past 5 years, but his talents are being wasted at qb

We won for 4 straight years.....didn't fix 95% of anything. Winning is a result, not a cause.

Going 8/4 is okay, but not really winning at a level to change minds, and four years is not nearly enough time to change a lifetime culture of futility.

People think it's wasting a year (half year) for Levi. But in reality, if he plays this year, he comes into next competing as the starter. It would be a lot harder for him to start next year without this year's experience.
Ding ding ding this. You got 5 games left if he is the future put him in leave him in and quit playing musical QB. 5 college games is not a wasted red shirt.

Playing half a season in 2017, kills all of 2021.

The non play of Dion Ray is especially hurtful when you are under the burden of scholarship limits.

If Hud thought Levi could come in and solve some of Hud's issues... he'd do it. If he doesn't pull his redshirt, it won't be because he's thinking of Levi's future. He'll have realized that Levi just isn't ready... and that he has plenty of time to get Nunez and/or JD back in action. JMO

You are correct. If there was a realistic chance Levi could fix things for Hud, he'd do it in the blink of an eye.

But make no mistake... most coaches in Hud's current situation would too.

Yes. I am just saying when it comes to the decision of taking the shirt off Levi, hud is not worried about the future that far down the road. I would imagine he knows that he wont be here then because of the wat his support is dwindling.

Probably because he's not ready or very good. Guys are not just inherently ready to lead a football team. I have no idea on the development of Arceneaux but he may never be a guy we rely upon for many reasons. Don't know. He's likely not nearly as good as our first two guys and Hud does seem to really want mobility in a QB and maybe Arceneaux is just not that guy.
