Not necessarily, but in this case with the hiring of Alden who got maggard hired who then made his first hire nico yantko all from mazoo with strong ties. They appear to be a very close nit group that likes to keep it in the family and it would not surprise me if his football coach hire has mazoo ties as well.

Forget X's and O's, we need someone who can recruit FBS level talent! I thought HUD was the guy early on, but I was mistaken. Solid recruiting ensures a solid career, smoke and mirrors does not work long term.

The pool of availables isn't there mid season.

So you spend gobs of money use temp staff and the potential for in season turnaround is minimal.

Knee jerk reaction at best but that's just my opinion.

Players are walking off the practice field today mid-practice ... they have lost all respect for Hud & have quit this coaching staff

Does not matter you save your brand which is a lot more important

Are you saying some players walked off the field and quit the team today? I know Monday is usually their day off. If that's the case then I stand corrected. I am saying that on Saturday those kids didn't quit. You can't quit and come back from being down 3 touchdowns in 8 minutes all at the same time.

However if they did quit I don't blame them. How can you play for a narcissistic egotistical maniac who thinks he is larger than the team. I heard some guy call the rage and he was right on. The intro to the field that he had changed, please welcome HEAD COACH MARK HUDSPETH and your Louisiana ragin Cajuns. The original schedule poster had just players on it and he rejected it and made them put his pic bigger than the players dead center and the focal point. I wouldn't go to battle for that dude either.

You sound like the Lafayette media. They didn't quit? So you mean, they actually did what they were put on scholarship to do?

The players are playing for themselves. That has nothing to do with the current state of our coaching situation.

And oh btw, WE LOST AGAIN.

UL Football Re: Dr. Maggard, The Time is Now

I was teetering on the fence about Hud until Sat. He totally lost me, and I'm still upset about it, when he had minute plus AND TWO TIMEOUTS before half and DID NOT EVEN try to score. He just let the clock run down and walked off into the tunnel leaving two timeouts just sit there! He's not even trying to score!

I mean, you gotta at least try!!!!!!

According to an article in the DA today they were off Sunday and Monday. Yet they walked off the field mid practice on an off day? Hmmmm
