This kid is a one and done. Doesn't really matter where he plays a year of college ball. Ben Simmons proved that a couple of years ago. Might well come here

Along with Alonza Allen, George Almones, Johnny Collins, Dan Gay, and Graylin Warner. Those were the days my friends.

Didn't Dion Brown hit the jump shot that beat Florida in the NIT at Blackham?

I didn't realize Dion was his dad. I'm sure I overlooked something.

Those WERE the days. Blackham was the place to be and the place was packed. That's when I got hooked on the Cajuns as a young child in the early 80s... I remember running down to where the players ran off the court and they would let us rip off their sweaty wrist bands as they passed. I had a collection of those things - but my mom was never thrilled with that prize... ;-)

Rainey beat UAB on a last second shot in the NIT.

"But despite all this talent, the most important reason for the Cajuns' success has been Brown, an unheralded sophomore power forward. Though he shot poorly (5-of-15) in the tournament, he was still at 53% for the season and was leading the team in rebounds. He had 14 against Fresno State. Fate helped bring Brown to Southwestern Louisiana. On his recruiting visit, he watched as "that guy with the same first name as mine hit a shot at the buzzer." That was Dion Rainey, whose last-second basket beat the University of Alabama-Birmingham in the NIT two years ago."

I saw the cajuns play Houston, aka phi slamma jamma, in Houston the year they lost the championship game to NC state. Akeem the dream blocked George almonds last second shot to beat us by one. Alonza could jump out the gym!

I never forgave Bobby Paschal for that loss to Notre Dame in the NIT Final Four in New York. We screamed for the entire second half for him to put Alonza in the game and he just wouldn't do it till it was too late. Even then Alonza almost pulled his fat out of the fire.

Oh, and the Michigan fans were the most obnoxious bunch I've ever encountered in my life.
