I could tell from reading that article that there may be a push to bring back Cayenne.

    God help us.

What makes a mascot work is time. Mascots are usually the first thing kids notice at games. They're funny, and they're usually what they remember the most. As they grow up, they carry those fond memories with them. For me, it was Bud Man/Cajun Chicken.

Done right, Cayenne could be a great mascot. Think of Brutus at Ohio State, or Bucky at Wisconsin. They're silly, but people grew up with them, so they're beloved. Whatever we come up with needs to be done right, and we need to stick with it.

I vote for Cayenne back by next football season! It's unique like us Cajuns.

Cayenne had a tremendously long leash and failed miserably.

Dogs return to their vomit, UL should not get stuck on stupid.

How about the Evangeline Maid bread lady? She could serve finger sandwiches with sexy confidence.

I don't know who it is. Someone on a shaving forum had it and I thought it was kind of "matter of fact " and liked it for that reason.

I don't think the big issue with Cayenne is the fact that it is a pepper, the problem is that it looks more like a dildo than a pepper!!!!!!!!!!!!

A round head without a beak, snout or protruding jaw make for terrible mascots because change of direction movements go unnoticed and thus they come across as boring.

Schexnayder (in advance) called Cayenne "our penance on earth."

He still succumbed to internal pressure.

I tend to disagree. I think Pichouette, the dancing boudin ball, would be lively and entertaining. Imagine a boudin ball with simply a rustic straw hat and legs, shapely legs with white majorette boots. Let's give a big Ragin Cajun welcome to Pichouette the dancing boudin ball, she's not here to play grab _ss, she's here to kick _ss, because that's all she can do!
