Ark State is plowing through Ga State. Currently 12-4 bottom 5. ARST scored multiple runs in all innings except the 1st

19-4 still in the bottom of the 5th. 11 runs this inning. ARST can save whatever good pitching they have now

Red Wolves will face UTA next rd. 21-4 mercy rule win.

Winner of the 8/9 between TXST and LR will now play Coastal

Oh well. I'm guessing all of those newly minted latur baseball fans will evaporate like water from a dog bowl on a hot summer day.

This should be an interesting game. Prather suggested that Coastal wouldn't be pitching their ace... I doubt that because they really need to win this game and Texas State actually took 2 of 3 from Coastal earlier this year. I don't think they would mess around with the pitching rotation... Any announcements?

While Texas State defeated Coastal Carolina in the San Marcos Friday night opener (5-4), Alex Cunningham pitched well ... throwing 6 2/3 of 5 hit 1 run ball. It was Bobby Holmes that could not hold the 3-1 lead ... ultimately leading to extra innings ... and then Texas State winning it in 14 innings.

Who do you think Coastal starts tomorrow vs. Texas State? And then vs. the Cajuns?

No idea. But if I were Coastal, I would start Alex Cunningham. Too much at stake for Coastal Carolina risking a loss by not throwing their best.
