No they won't. It'll be all or nothing. Let's just hope enough legislators on both sides of the aisle will shun this stupidity, because something like this might garner the eye of the Tony Perkins type wing of the Legislature.

does their's only come in cans? seems like they were late to the party as well.
Putting a beer in cans is a good way to keep it from absorbing light, while can cause spoilage. Lots of craft brewers can for this reason.

if "our beer" is named after University of Louisiana, the "law" would only prohibit affiliation with University of Louisiana ... at Lafayette, for once the name game can go to our advantage, lol

["Why would we have wanted to officially license and brand and tie an alcoholic beverage to a school?" Glover said. Louisiana doesn't allow anyone under the age of 21 to drink, and that age limit applies to most every student on most campuses]

it doesn't apply to everyone? that's odd......

With all of the problems facing this State, if any Legislator spend more than one second on this B.S. (other than dumping this issue) they need to be immediately removed from office for incompetency and simply being stupid!!!

I really wish I wouldn't have read this.

Incompetent, imbecilic and hypocritic on PREMIUM levels. Wonder why Louisiana is in the bottom of these here great United States in any category that means anything? Look at these "elected" officials. I'd trust RP to run the state better.

He's got one good idea. I'd buy some "Ragin'Rum", the official rum of UL.

So the guy is 300# plus worried about obese people. Maybe he just needs a lite beer with low carbs.

Obviously a member that was around in 1984. Yes, it was and is that stupid when it comes to Refineryville.

Would not be surprised a whole new buracracy is set up to have such sponsers, soley to line pockets of Mr. Glover and his ilk from the beer lobby.

Budget cuts are constantly affecting these universities, and this guy is proposing a law to ban these same universities from finding ways to produce revenue.

    Say it with me....."BANANA REPUBLIC."
