The worst OBP since 2008, not good. This team has a ways to go when it comes to creating base runners.

Like I've been saying, if we remove the first week stats from the equation, everything has improved greatly. Not saying those games don't count, just saying this snapshot doesn't paint the most accurate picture of the current state of our offense.

I believe Robe when he says that losing 700 at bats in fall and spring due to construction had an effect on our team starting slow out the gate.

Yea the BBs is WAYYY lower this year. That needs to change.

In the positive category, pitching and Defense is sparkling!

I have no reason to doubt Coach Robe's statement about losing critical at bats this past fall, I was just stating the obvious on OBP.

Was there no land in the athletic complex he could have set up a mound and plate? I see hundreds of acreage where that could have happened. If those 700 at bats are important maybe they should have done that.

Maybe the land just was too wet, or too rough. I'm just curious.

Pretty sure he was referring to inter-squad scrimmages. Batting practice is not the same as live meaningful at-bats against pitchers tryjng to get you out. The other issue is they shut down a number of pitchers in the fall after some participation in summer leagues to rest their arms. The available arms can only throw so much.

I've questioned your intelligence on multiple occasions to myself and not said anything. But, this takes the cake LOL. You serious, Clark?

I knew this season felt similar to recent ones but didn't realize we had the exact same record as the last 2 years at this point.

Good to see the OBP starting to climb a little. Taking more walks will help in general

Since we have 3 games that will finish this week, I will try an update on Friday. I would like to see how we stand with that 1st SE game added in.
