We have to win this one....keep in mind how many games in a row we are playing on the road to start the season.....good pitching or not if the bats don't get going the losses will pile up....

After a lack luster 9 innings, these "every extra inning is an adventure" games take a lot out of you.

A road win will also help out RPI more than a home game. Need this one to make up for that Murray State fiasco

Rain delay....a little late for SouthEastern batter. This rain is going to be around a while. Think we are done for the night.

But if you are going to win one and lose one ... it is better to win the home game and lose the road game (vs. win the road game and lose the home game) ... assuming you have an adjusted WP of over .5000 (i.e. you are a postseason contender).

Murray State was a neutral site game.

I understand that. My comment was directed to your statement that "a road win will also help out RPI more than a home game". And I am simply clarifying that home games are more important to win than road games. More important than neutral games as well.

This isn't a tie. It will be picked up on March 29. It is officially suspended

Starting in 2013, college baseball RPI formula values each road victory as 1.3 instead of 1.0. Each home win is valued at 0.7 instead of 1.0. Conversely, each home loss counts 1.3 against a team's RPI and each road loss counts 0.7 against a team's RPI

Yes ... which is why it is more important to win at home than it is on the road (for contending teams). Basic math.

We are under the new facility syndrome. Build it and we can't play. First football, then basketball, now baseball. LOL.
