If people don't get their emotions under control and realize the media is purposely fueling this hate...this is not gonna end well.

Justification is the second worst human emotion and stops us from admitting that we are wrong, when we realize that we made a bad choice in the beginning. The worst, which most will not admit they are exercising, is hate and prejudice. We all do these things, but those that are the worst are those that completely deny that this is what drives their ignorance.

emotions and assault weapons are not a good combination. We have to get these guns off the street. Cops are defenseless against these types of weapons

Network news is once again turning this into a forum for politics.

Nope. Wrong again. First things first. There are no assault weapons on the street. There are, in point of fact, relatively few assault weapons in the hands of the US military.

What we have to get off the street are people who use any kind of weapon to break the law.

There is not one person on this planet that has to worry about me having weapons unless they intend to do me harm. And no, I do not own any so-called assault weapons.

Why are we so eager to be pro police( which by the way I am) but we hail politicians who won't vote for assault weapons bans. People wake up. These weapons shoot through cars and bullet proof vest. Protect police if you care about them. We are now asking police to go into a war zone.

How about big trucks? Should take all those off the street too? As soon as morons stop
Pushing agendas we might be able to actually fix the problems. An " assault weapon" is simply a very durable weapon made to operate in tough conditions and has interchangeable parts. I could take a "non assault" deer rifle 7 mag and blow a soccer ball size hole in your chest at 300 yards....it's not the rifle...it's the crazy ___ people.

I hunt with a,Remington 740 semi automatic rifle. It has the same firing mechanism as any of the rifles that are falsely tagged as "assault" weapons....1 pull of the trigger, 1 shot. Assault weapons were banned in 1934.

No reason to have assault weapons. Pretty simple.

yes it's still about crazy people pulling the trigger but I have to like a cops chances if the crazy guy has a hand gun. When did we lose all common sense in this country. This is not politics and agendas. It's common sense.

300+ murdered every year with rifles....over 1,000 murdered every year with knives...over 6 to 8,000 murdered every year with handguns...

Yes but a bullet proof vest and a cop car will protect a police officer against a hand gun
