According to different people on Twitter, Coastal will be announced as new Sunbelt member tomorrow.

Best option available in all sports if it happens... 100% like the move for the belt because we improve in all major sports... CUSA is definitely not as impressive as it once was and I truly believe the belt can surpass them and has in some sports..... If we want to switch conferences AAC should be our push. CUSA is a lateral move

The best option was drop Idaho and add NMSU in all sports.

I agree Idaho has to go, but besides basketball nmsu doesn't add much.

Ok most feasible option then. It should be done but teams aren't kicked out.

CCU is a great add for baseball and solid for basketball.

Also, they're supposed to be announcing something regarding their football stadium tomorrow too

Should have waited to add Coastal Carolina as a full sports program, until they were ready facilities wise to play FBS football. Taking them in Olympic Sports for the next two years would have addressed the travel concerns and partner for App. State. Adding them as a full member now does nothing for your football brand and certainly doesn't help in regards of improving new TV contract in 2017. Now we will have FBS programs traveling to a stadium that sits 9,000 fans. How is that different from the SLC?

Their HC Joe Moglia has a lot of money to help out the program if he wants.

They're going to announce stadium upgrades tomorrow from what some said. Remains to be seen how long those take

One win in the Big Dance brings the conference more money than every bowl game combined.

Coastal will be a full member next year, with the first being a transition year in football. The next season they will play SBC football games. Building a stadium addition in time or not, doesn't help your football brand period. They are not App. State or Georgia Southern. The decision by Benson to push this through pretty much erodes any improvement in your football brand for a few years, after Georgia Southern and App. State have supposedly helped. SBC had nothing to gain in football, taking them as a full member.

Coastal has to remove the teal turf .. NCAA forbids and FBS member (Outside of Boise) from having turf any color but grass green

Didn't realize anything could possibly erode a brand in the Sun Belt? Adding an FCS program is nothing new.

That's false. Eastern Michigan has grey turf.
