i hate for the mac's long bowl losing streak to finally end, and it be against a belt team.

CMU comes back to win 44-41 in 2OT. Tough loss for the Trojans.

Great exhibition by both teams especially the 2 outstanding QBs.

Jernigan dropped a perfect pass it after working so hard to get free on a fade route.

    Then CMU kicks the FG

Man, I know I want the cajuns to go to a bowl, but man, the last 2 bowl games for troy have to have been miserably painful, 2 straight bowl games, 2 straight great games, 2 straight overtime losses. Still, as bad as their heartbreak must be, I would still love to be in a bowl game, ANY bowl game.

I was torn on this one - as much as I wanted to support the conference, Troy makes it hard to root for them. Their obnoxious fans and band included. I noticed that Troy 's defense did a fair amount of trash talking on the field.

Boom, I don't recall us playing CMU. If I recollect correctly, we played the EMUs a few years back.

We played them I think in 89 and 91. I believe we are 1 - 1 against them.

Every league has/needs a bully. Troy is the SBC bully. They had a good showing, and our conference is on the up and up guys. Compared to the MAC in the past 5 years, we are ahead in all categories. Entertaining game, good showing all the way around. The stadium was full, which is always a good sign. I hope we continue to build a rivalry with those guys.

Nothing wrong with a bad boy Troy in the league.

A conference with multi personalities is best for growth.

I'm surprised at how badly Jernigan played. I didn't get to see the entire game but he dropped two sure TD's in the second half and the major one was in the second OT that would have put them up by a TD instead of going for the blocked FG. This guy was one of the premier players going into this season in our conference and he played horrible.

Actually, Jernigan had a solid game in Mobile:

    Receiving: 9 YDS, 154 YDS (AVG: 17.1)
    Rushing: 6 ATT, 39 YDS
    KR: 157 YDS
    All Purpose: 350 YDS
