Thread: Feufollet

  1. ooh LA La. Feufollet

Feufollet brings energetic Cajun sounds to Acadie

Anna Laura Edmiston says she can't help but feel at home when she flies north from Lafayette, Louisana to play in Acadie.

In fact, she didn't even mention any jet lag yesterday as she was preparing for an evening performance with her band Feufollet at the Monument Lefebvre in Memramcook.

"It is the spirit, the people are very warm and they like getting together like we do in the south, to eat, drink, share stories, and the love of the culture and our heritage," said the 23-year-old whose striking voice is featured on the theme song of the Congrès Mondial Acadien: Encore retrouvés. "It is like coming home in a way, and meeting people with who we feel we have known for years."

Good article about a great Cajun band. Its a great opportunity for them. I do resent one comment in the article ... "Unlike many Cajun groups who hail from Louisiana, Feufollet performs in French."

How many Cajun groups do you know who perform exclusively in English?

It was a mighty dumb statement. None, because it would not be Cajun music
