Redskin Brian Mitchell, recently got cut from the line-up at Redskins owner Dan Snyder's ESPN 980, WTEM, for criticizing his old team. He now does fill-in work at CBS Radio's Philadelphia sports talk, WIP. Mitchell did a weekly show for WIP when he was with the Eagles, and is back now as sidekick to WIP afternooner Howard Eskin.

Mitchell told USA Today he was fired for his criticism of his old team. However, WTEM executive Bruce Gilbert said the move was "100 percent driven by the economy.”

Fred Stamps had a rough outing in his most recent C.F.L. outing. He had a ball intercepted from his hands by DB Lenny Walls, followed it up with an ugly drop in open field near the end of the half and one glancing off his hands in the final two minutes.
