I am glad that you brought up the cost associated with maintaining the flag tradition. Steve has worked his butt off to get this project up and running. I think its worthwhile, and give him my monetary support, and will continue to do so I feel that it provides a pregame atmosphere that most LA state schools do not have . It would be great if more Louisiana fans would get involved....a nickel here, a dime there

Again, thanks for your input. Hopefully, it becomes an ongoing tradition.
The conflict I am aware of are the small victory patches that he planned to sew onto the flag. That could not be done. Now we have staffs that the volunteer members carry and we add a victory award for each win.

A little pomp and circumstance suggestion for tradition sake.

For "Fan Day" they could take the victory patch flags on tour (victory lap) around where the stadiums used to be where those respective victories occurred.

    1) The Quad (West side of the Swamp)
    2) Southwestern Stadium (East side of the Swamp)
    3) McNaspy Stadium (South side of the Swamp)
    4) Cajun Field (aka The Swamp)

Just to clarify. Jamail spent one year at UL then transferred to UT Austin.

Then we'll accept one fourth or fifth of what he donates to UT Austin.

Did I hear we may need to give Jamail an honorary doctorate from UL? Is that what I heard?

I fixed the links to the pictures that accompanied Steve Gossen's Victory Run story. (see post 1)
