Don't worry the magic will keep improving. I sure hope elfrid can make a huge leap in his second year just like oladipo did this year

He will make a great leap if he just makes a few free throws on a consistent basis.

That would be huge. Although many of us wish he'd have stayed, it's amazing watching him shine in the pros. Geaux Elfrid!

It won't happen...only because Wiggins came from a big school and his a "household name"

Not true, it won't happen because Wiggins is putting up amazing stats for a Rookie, granted he has some holes in his game, but the points alone stick out at you. Once you are in the NBA you can not cry the "they are screwing me because I come from a small school story". EP will be 2nd in the ROY race and that is strong, he will have a long and distinguished career in the NBA. He is further ahead right now then I would assume most would have suspected.

But this has nothing to do with being a name or going to a small school, this has to do with what people go to the games for and that is points.

    PPG
    Wiggins 15.7
    Payton 8.5

    RPG
    Wiggins 4.3
    Payton 4.0

    APG
    Payton 6.1
    Wiggins 1.8

    SPG
    Payton 1.5
    Wiggins 1.1

    BPG
    Wiggins .6
    Payton .2

    FG %
    Wiggins 43.7%
    Payton 42.1%

    FT%
    Wiggins 73.7%
    Payton 52.7%

    3 PT %
    Wiggins 32.4%
    Payton 25%

    MPG
    Wiggins 35.0
    Payton 29.4

Wiggins wins because of pure numbers, but mark my words, Payton will be an All-Star many times over, I believe. He is one of the best, if not the best young PG's in the league.

If he can just improve his free throw percentage, field goal percentage, and three point percentage. All doable things. He is open for the shots, and everyone is open on free throws.

The reason I am sure he will improve a lot. He is a great athlete and just needs training or specifically coaching.

He is already great at the hard stuff.

Payton just got his second consecutive triple-double. First player in franchise history to do it. He also shot 10-13 from the field and tied his career high 22 points making both of his free-throws with 3 seconds left.

First rookie since 1998. Only the 7th rookie ever to do it.

    Penny didn't do it.
    Shaq didn't do it.

Wow. We all knew he was special when he was here but honestly, he has exceeded the expectations I had for him this year in the NBA.

I've caught a few of his games this year and it amazes me how comfortable he is. He is and will continue to be a special player
