We pulled a Northern Iowa. That win would have (should have) been huge.

Well that was a disappointment. You gotta think with a 5 run first inning and our all-american pitcher on the mound, we'd have a pretty good shot at taking it.

Jordan gave up WAY too many walks. It's the first day of the season, but I was ready to mark this one a win after we were up 3 in the 4th just based on who we had in the circle. She really let this one slip.

Cajuns always hit first at home except for conference games, Mike likes to bat first.

Jordan was not herself tonight and I would not be surprise if she was sick, flu or flu like symptoms. Lots to look forward to with the bats. If Lexie Elkins continues to play well she will be all conference catcher.

We DID have a pretty good shot at taking it. We lost to an extremely good team...in a drizzle...in a cold wind...after Jordan had closed out the prior game. We have freshmen and sophs all over the place. The season isn't over.

I don't like it. But you do know Mike has taken this team to a super-regional 3 of the last 4 years with his strategy.

Mike plays for the post season. With this strategy your batters always get an extra at bat and your pitchers will hopefully get an extra inning to work when we are in the lead. His record at home is near perfect.

I like it for every program, except a ranked opponent. I think it serves us well in conference. I would prefer he switch to batting last against ranked opponents.

Same for your comment. Guy is probably the most successful coach ever at UL and respected by coaches nationwide for his offensive acumen. If he thinks the strategy works, then his record makes it hard for some uninformed commenter on Ragin Pagin to say otherwise.
