    Nothing, i guess if it passes it will replace Lafayette as the 5th largest city in the state, but im reaching. nevermind, Nothing to do with Ragin Cajun Athletics as far as I can see

    I was thinking about the city size, but also made me think about what percentage of the Lafayette students are in public/private schools. South Louisiana has always tended to have a good amount of Catholic or private schools.

    I see the article says it would have about 100k people. I thought Lafayette had more than that.

    The South, ... by 2011 had the nation’s second-narrowest funding disparity among districts, ... Louisiana, however, scored worst in the nation, according to the study.
    Not a big stretch to see the similarities between this study and how the funding of higher education institutions is handled.

    HUD math---lafayette 125K---parish used for the city interchangeably---AHHHHH lafayette has about 235K and is one of the fastest growing areas in the country!!!!! We will be at a quarter of a million pretty soon!!!
