Thread: Lady Cajuns anxious to get back on field

  1. UL Softball Lady Cajuns anxious to get back on field

With every passing moment, UL's softball team moves closer to playing East Carolina on Friday in the Baton Rouge Regional.

Time cannot move fast enough for Cajun outfielder Karli Hubbard.

"We're anxious," said the junior from Comeaux High. "We're ready to get back on the field. We're just using this week to get ready."

That was the general consensus from UL players at Wednesday's practice as the Cajuns (46-12) prepare for a 4 p.m. matchup on Friday against East Carolina (36-28) at Tiger Park.

Vanessa Soto, who played her first three years at LSU before joining the Cajuns as a senior, is taking this week in stride. As a veteran, she's learned the importance of resting during a grinding season whenever she gets a chance. She's excited about everything she's experienced in her one year with the Cajuns.

Hallelujah! I found my LSwho? shirt and I'm eager (not anxious) for the Cajuns to get back on the field as well! Can't wait for tommorow! How many people are going? There are four of us on the third base line, I'm guessing that's the UL section ???
