Default Solo to Assist tackle ratio

Still trying to see what the stat might mean.

In 2005: Texas had 100 solo tackles to every 87.4 assists.

In 2006: LSU had 100 solo tackles to ever 119.4 assists. They are down to 100-73 this year.

To me this shows that we are not getting a lot of hats to the football...we are depending on guys to make a play by themselves. You want as many guys getting to the football as you can and for me seeing that we are getting more solo tackles means we are not getting enough people around the ball.

that could be completely wrong but that is what it seems to me
