I hope so, any idea what teams are looking at him? The season is right around the corner.

Well, that sucks. Hopefully he has a great year and gets paid with a long term deal next season

$6.5 million for the year. Not bad. Kick butt. Get a multi year deal in a year.

I'm sure he's bummed about it, but this seems like one of the obvious "trade to a contender at the deadline" deals if he plays well. Hope he bounces back and gets some big money.

And donates some of that money to Louisiana Baseball program to allow Robe to hire a top notch hitting coach?

    Sorry, wrong thread.

I think I got a good ticket for about 8 bucks a few years ago. I don't think Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum has a "premium" part to it. It's the lovable loser of MLB parks, but that was kind of the basis of it's appeal.

I got to see the A's vs the Yankees there for a Vida Blue- Catfish Hunter pitching match-up. As a bonus, l got to see an unknown reliever come in the middle inning - kid named Ron Guidry!
