I sure wish the Astros would have taken Lucroy or trade for him. I hate that he is in Brewers farm system.

He won't be in a farm system forever... and there is always hope that he ends up with the Astros.

The Brewers have decided to be competitive by drafting smart and developing young talent. This is good news for Luc and Brewer fans. The days of getting better and winning in the post season via free agency are dwindling. (see NY Yankees) Luc is in a good place, imo.

  6. UL Baseball Power's Lucroy not happy unless Power winning

Jonathan Lucroy was sitting at his locker inside the Appalachian Power Park clubhouse last week when one of his teammates came by to congratulate him on another impressive performance at the plate.

"Man," the teammate said, "you're killing the ball."

"Yeah," Lucroy responded matter-of-factly, "but we aren't winning."

A week later, Lucroy still is hitting and the West Virginia Power finally is winning.

Collin Delome was drafted by the Astros last season. He is playing at Lexington A ball and has good power numbers. But his averae was around .255 and his SO ratio has been high.

hmmm... imagine if we had that kind of leadership this year. Lucroy was definitely missed.

  17. UL Baseball Charleston Athlete of the Week - Jonathan Lucroy

The West Virginia Power developed Ryan Braun into a Major League Star. Can they do it again?

Jonathan Lucroy has the potential to move up the Milwaukee Brewers farm system quickly. Lucroy was drafted by the Brewers in the 3rd round of last years draft. The former University of Louisiana-Lafayette baseball player is quite of hit with the West Virginia Power this season.
