UL Baseball Kudos to a great team.

On behalf of all of my Aggie bretheren (and sisteren), I want to tip my maroon and white hat to a damn fine baseball club and it's fans. Either team deserved to advance, and you guys have a lot to look forward to next spring. Trust me....we don't want to have anything to do with you guys in next year's post-season.

Thanks to all of you Cajun fans that made the trip to College Station to root on your boys. You guys definitely made the games a fun experience and a unique one.....I don't think we've ever had an opponent come to Olsen that travelled as well as you guys.

We'd appreciate any good vibes you could send west from Cajun Country into Houston when we deal with the Ricebirds this weekend. We've beat them twice already this year, and we'd sure like to hang two more on 'em.

Best of luck to you guys next spring.

Here is something like Rush Limbaugh's Environmentalist Wacko Sports Picks.

    1: Cajuns eat Rice.
    2: Aggies grow Rice.
    3: Geaux Aggies.
    4: Aggies Win.

Thanks for the props!! Sure wish it had turned out differently, but as Robe said, "You can't win two games with three hits!" At least not at this level. Your pitchers did a great job we just couldn't break. Hope you guys go all the way!----It will make us look good!

I walked away from College Station with a little different taste in my mouth.

I was disgusted every time the Aggies players wouldn't leave a baseball on the field for our players between innings.

I was ashamed of the taunting of our pitchers by A&M batters while they were at bat.

I got sick and tired of the rude, disgusting man who found me and another parent to stand 12" behind while he yelled and berated our kids. I guess he couldn't find any of the other 5000 people who actually wanted to hear his remarks.

I was appalled by the two infantile college students who made rude and disrespectful comments to me and my husband as we left the field.

I was surprised that the fans didn't cheer for their team. Instead, they cheered against our team. They cheered for our mistakes. They laughed at our injured players. They made fun of our fans. They criticized our "stupid little chants." They asked us where we tied up the donkeys, etc. If I heard another "waterboy" comment, I'd have gone ballistic. I guess that is their definition of fan support.

I know I am taking this a little too personally. But, I saw 25 guys play their hearts out. I am proud of all of them and what they accomplished.

I can't wait 'til we meet them again.

Hopefully they get their butts gift-wrapped and handed to them in Houston.

I'm certainly sorry to hear of your bad experience at A&M this past weekend. Unfortunatly, I was unable to make it to College Station this past weekend but have been there 3 or 4 times for football games. My experiences with Aggie fans has always been very positive. However, based on what you experienced on your visit, it is apparent that like every school (including UL) the Aggies also have a few A-holes amongst the masses!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, those folks will not sit near you again if you ever get a chance to return.

P.S. Best of luck to you and your son. It has been a pleasure having him as a Ragin Cajun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at both the regional tournament and the football game this past year. I have concluded that Aggie fans are very polite and welcoming when they feel confident that they will get the W. After the football game, I went out with some of the locals and didn't pay for a drink all night nor did I have one negative comment aimed at me. Aggie fans were threatened by the Cajun baseball team this past weekend because they knew it would not be an easy victory. Even though I feel that the actions this past weekend were rude and classless, everyone knows that you will find that everywhere.

I think you are correct in that all schools have their share of bad apples.

I remember the 1995 football game here. We sat behind some Aggie fans who lived in Lafayette. Very nice people........ until the game was over. After the game, they would not even shake our hands.
