Elfrid Payton scored a career-high 31 points, but the Hilltoppers shot 50-percent from the field and made 10 three-pointers to hand the Ragin Cajunsan 88-77 loss on Saturday night in the Cajundome.

EP showed his next-level potential last night. Too bad he just didn't have enough help outside of Shawn. The game was just about over before Mbamalu and AMT scored a goal.

Marlin had better hit the recruiting trail...HARD.

It seems crazy to say since he scored 31 points, but there were times where I wish he would have been even more aggressive. No one else besides Shawn Long was able to score and we kept jacking up terrible shots.

I wish someone had a video of that crossover and jumper Elfrid drained in the second half. He's going to be an absolute monster by the time he's a senior.
