If they choose New Mexico State over Arkansas State and the Cajuns...that's not our fault, it's Conference USA's fault. No master plan in the world could satisfy that conference if they think New Mexico State is a better option at any point in history.

It is if our admin isn't doing ____ to get that CUSA invite. Their is no way in hell that NMSU is a more attractive candidate than UL.

Well i hope the sun belt makes them pat the million if they do bolt this year. A lot of scheduling shuffling would hurt us if it happens. Of course we can just go out and keep winning bowls Cc

Even with our administration not doing anything...it should be plain as day.

Some things are for the conference, some are for the fans. These public pleadings tells the fans they are doing all they can to move up. Our president and AD assumes we trust them, while they have given us zero to trust them on.

WKU and NMSU are telling both where they want to be. WKU is a current Sun Belt member yet has no fear of offending or hurting the conference as apparently T Joe and Scott do. I guess that means WKU has been told they are next.

Not happening, the penalty is far out of proportion to the damages they are doing. They will probably pay less than a quarter of that.

Not really, NMSU would give UTEP a travel partner for CUSA and make it easier for all of the eastern schools to make that western swing. WKU is centrally located and puts CUSA into another state that is in the middle of the conference footprint. Adding those two make sense.

stAte has a leg up on the Cajuns due to being located in a state with no CUSA presence as well.

For us to get the invite our administration must be vigillent and proactive at marketing our university and athletic programs to other CUSA presidents and commissioner.

The administration knows that we are the best kept secret in the South....problem is....they want to keep it that way!

    CUSA has a problem.

Once Tulsa goes, they will be at 13 for 2014.

Bad number. So, they have to add at least 1.

Most people say WKU. Well, that puts UAB in the Western division. El Paso to Birmingham is mighty far for a division of a conference.

If they add a western school, that puts USM in the Eastern division. Not happening.

The answer staring them in the face is to go to 16. WKU plus 2 more western schools. That puts UAB in the east, where they belong, and it keeps USM in the west, where they want to be.

USM has been in the eastern division for their entire existence in CUSA.

Yeah, but I'm talking about the future CUSA lineup. My USM contacts tell me they want no part of the new eastern division...no more Memphis, no more ECU, no more UCF, the arrival of ODU, the Florida twins...ugly.

This is all assuming that the NBE stays put...they are currently at 9. 2014 ECU comes on board. 2015 Navy comes on board. That's only 11. They want 12. Marshall has to be there next target. Also, there is no guarantee that the ACC doesn't come after UCONN. They are the last original full member of the Big East. They want to be in a strong Basketball conference. Right now...the NBE sucks at Basketball. After UCONN goes it's such a drop off that I think the NBE can stay together as no other conference will take anything else from them. The upcoming years are crucial to the survival of this program...petition in planning stages...
