Thread: Harris awaits heavier load

    Default Harris awaits heavier load

When Montrel Carter got word that he'd be the first running back to trot out for UL's season-opener against Lamar last Saturday, Alonzo Harris wasn't surprised a bit.

    Buckley; check

Now if Jay Walker will finally start to follow all of Boomer's instructions, the media will be fine.

Glad they listened and got a great post game show

Jay didn't think too highly of that request and Dan Mc ran with it and I think the debut was GREAT

-Still I don't want to get in an argument with Jay but I will say and have said for a LONG time that Cajun Fans deserve better than a station that can hardly make it to the Lafayette Parish line

Don't know who the ____ you are or why you always try to stir it up but just out of curiosity---Do you think the Post game show is Great and do you like the poor reception area of our flagship station???

Well, Boomer, since Fish lives in the Peoples Republic of California, the range of 1420 is not much of an issue for him.

Boomer you simply must set attainable goals. Get them to broadcast the postgame show on KROF.

I mean, you live right under the tower. I'll come over and we can listen together.

UL Football Re: Harris awaits heavier load

Harris will be the man this season, because he can carry the load. Like Brian Mitchell he is super tuff. Most backs break down and become injured if they carry the ball too often.

I seem to remember I was able to get the post game show on 107.9...which reaches a decent portion of the state including Abbeville. Was I dreaming?

I think his new request is "The Rage" KPEL 14.20 and online, and the Pup only.

    Sure do, glad to help.

My comp repair skills have move on to another zip code since then. Funny how when you quit building computers for 10 years how much of your skill set evaporates.

    My .02 into this

Living in BR and being around LSU news, fans, etc all the time. LSU moved their flagship several years ago from 1150 AM WJBO to 98.1 FM. I'm sure this is because 98.1 is a massive 100,000 watt channel that I know I have caught on the radio from Natchitous (sp) before. UL needs to someday, maybe not now, but soon consider moving the flagship to another station. AM radio is just too old school for big college football. Will that new flagship be 107.9? Who knows? I know the current format of that station is not the best for most fans, but it is a very strong station that UL could hang their hat on. LSU and 98.1 make it work. UL and some not yet named station can make it work.

This may be one of my longest posts ever...

Harris' carries Saturday night just may end up being the key to the game. I think our receivers can pick them apart...but Harris (and, of course, Efrem and others helping) can help mix up our offense just enough to keep their D off balance.

    Harris may just do it!

I've never written one this long before. It was intolerably long Andre.
